This bass is dripping with mojo! Some have claimed the EB-2 to be Gibson's best bass invention but who's really to say? ...well... you actually!

Originally designed by Gibson engineer Larry Allers, the EB series borrowed heavily in aesthetic from the famous 335 body style. This particular one was made in 1968, and its original sunburst finish has aged absolutely beautifully over the years. Laminated maple body, mahogany neck (0.86"-1.06"), rosewood fretboard (10" radius), 1.52" nut width, this thing has vibe for days and plays like a dream.

Considering its lifespan and modifications over time, we have some appointments to address here. Original tuners, "baritone" switch and sidewinder pickup are all accounted for along with an aftermarket bridge replacement made somewhere along its journey. Also you can't beat that Sidewinder (aka Mudbucker) pickup!

This guitar shows it's age: there's playwear overall, buckle rash on the back, dings and wear spots on the back of the neck. But this guy has spent the better part of almost 60 years in the topsy-turvy world of rock n' roll so yeah, he's got some battle scars. But he can't stop. Won't stop!

This vintage bass has been given a full fret level and setup by the pro techs here at EMS. You won't find another one with as much pre-sale love and care put into it. This thing's ready to bring the tone to your stage or studio. It does not include a case but we will take great care to ensure it ships swiftly and safely!
