Well, here's a piece of history you don't see everyday. Crafted by S.L. Mossman in '73, the Flint Hills is a gorgeous dreadnought that has a loud, projecting tone that has chime and a nice top end. At the same time it has a big sounding lowend without being too boomy. S/N: 73-541

The Flint Hills was crafted with a Indian Rosewood back & sides (with a Martin-esque back strip) with a sitka spruce top. The neck (.799"-.969") has a comfortable, playable D profile with a 10" radius ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl dot markers. The nut measures in at 1.68".

It comes equipped with an undersaddle Fishman Matrix pickup so that you can plug in and take your music to the people!

Overall this guitar has light signs of love and use consistent with its age. But still it's a stunningly beautiful instrument. There is pick swirl, and light surface level scratches overall and some scuffing along the edge of the headtock. The back has some dings, surface scratches and buckle rash. There's also finish checking on the neck and along the edges of the top. It's 50 years old. Whaddya gonna do?

It has had a neck reset. In addition there are a couple of  crack repairs that have been done in the past (one on the top behind the bridge and another on the back near the heel; see pics). They have been nicely repaired and are frankly hard to see.

The pro techs here at EMS have given this vintage beauty a full setup and fret level so that it's ready for stage or studio (or front porch pickin').

It will ship out the next day in the original hardshell case.
