All that glitters is not gold...sometimes it's Daphne Blue! Such as this sweet blue baby!

Fender makes great instruments of all shapes and sizes, but their Custom Shop cranks out tone machines that have been touched by the tone gods!

This '61 spec Tele comes to us with a toneful alder body overlaid with a striking nitro Daphne Blue Sparkle finish that has been perfectly reliced to capture the look of a guitar that's been played and loved for six decades. The quarter sawn maple neck has a perfectly shaped 60's-style oval C profile (.790"-.930") and is outfitted with a 9.5" rosewood fingerboard. It sports 21 Narrow Tall (6105) frets along with vintage clay dots.  The nut measures in at 1.65".

All of that vintage classic tone is cranked through a Twisted Tele neck pickup and a handwired OBG bridge pickup! The controls are, of course, the classic layout: Tone, Volume, 3-way selector. This one is outfitted with the Greasebucket tone circuit. The Greasebucket's bandpass filter is a combination of a high-pass and a low-pass filter. This circuit is designed to cut high frequencies without "adding" bass.

And it weighs in at a modest 7.18 lbs. to make those long sessions and sets a breeze.

This guitar is a real stunner and comes with the original Fender chocolate tolex rectangular case with the case candy (including the Shop Floor Traveler and CoA). It also comes with the original ashtray cover and top hat style toggle switch tip (in addition to the Strat style narrow switch tip seen in the pics).

The pro techs here at EMS have gone over this beauty to ensure that it ships setup and ready for stage or studio with the action and intonation dialed in. It will ship out securely and fully insured the next day.
