Fender Special Edition Telecaster Koa Top Antique Burst MIK 2008

Being based in Nashville, of course we're no strangers to Telecasters here at EMS. Everybody and their grandma has a Tele. Good luck getting a gig in town if you ain't got nothing with some twang. So it's easy to become jaded towards them, being one of the more ubiquitous guitars in the scene. However, we can't seem to put this one down.

The combination of the Koa top and pearloid pickguard caught our eyes right away. Your brain immediately wants to register it as just a standard sunburst and white pickguard, but then you notice that there's something special to it.

Under the hood you've got all the specs you love to see on a Tele. The maple C-profile neck is super comfy and fast, with a thickness of 0.837" at the 1st fret and 0.907" at the 12th fret. The 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard feels just as good as it looks, contrasted with that Koa burst, and it has a nut width of 1 21/32".

It comes loaded up with a set of Seymour Duncan telecaster pickups, rated for 6.26k in the neck, and 7.35k in the bridge.

This guitar is very lightly used, and it has hardly any wear at all. Some very minor surface swirling, and a tiny ding or two on the sides of the body. Needless to say, this thing is in great condition. Like all guitars here at EMS, our expert luthiers have given it a fresh setup to ensure that it plays absolutely immaculately and is intonated with the utmost precision.

We'll ship this guitar to you lightning fast and packed securely in its tweed hardshell case. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
