One of our favorite throwback Kramers. Back in the 70s, they came along with a truly forward thinking design. Kramer crafted this aluminum-necked marvel from walnut/ maple and outfitted it with a stunning ebony fingerboard (14" radius, 1.659" nut). The neck has a fast, playable C profile (.830"-.954"). This guitar has the original Kramer pickups with the embossed pickup covers (N: 11.43k, 11.08k) and the original Schaller tuners.

CTS date codes (1377633) date back to the 33rd week of '76. It weighs in at around 11 lbs, so she's got some heft but you won't even care after you feel how well-balance it feels and plays.

This guitar looks very clean for its age. Overall you can see minor signs of playwear. There are minor dings on the back of the neck near the headstock (see pics) and some minor scratches on the hardware. But none of this detracts from how stunning the guitar looks and plays. And it has been perfectly fret leveled and setup by the pro techs here at EMS. It plays as good, if not better than, the day it left the factory (and damn near looks that clean too!). We will ship this vintage beauty out to you swiftly and safely in its original hardshell case the next day.

If you were ever a fan of 80's hair metal, you're gonna love this one. This thing is begging to riff.

Kramer was one of the brands at the forefront of the 80's shredder movement of the 80's, and their guitars can be heard shredding on countless hair metal and thrash records from that era. Once you pick this thing up you'll understand why. The neck on this thing RIPS. The slim C profile feels like you're almost not holding anything at all, and the 12" radius, with thickness of 0.760" at the 1st fret and 0.840" at the 12th feels like sitting in the driver's seat of a Ferrari; all you wanna do is see how fast you can go.

This bad boy was manufactured in Korea sometime in the mid-80's, we believe probably 1986. The luthiers at Kramer were really onto something in the 70's with this series of guitars and basses, hybridizing different woods within the instrument body and even wood and metal within the neck construction. The body is made of walnut and maple, while the neck is constructed of layers of walnut laid into aluminum. A volume control for each independent pickup, a master tone control, 3-way pickup selector switch, phase toggle switch, and a series-split-parallel toggle switch. This bass clearly shows other signs of use throughout, but these all just contribute to the overall mojo of this player-grade vintage bass.

Like all instruments here at EMS, our expert luthiers have given it a full fret level and fresh setup, as well as a full rewire with brand new components to ensure that it functions flawlessly and plays even better than the day it left the factory.
