Maaaaaan, there's just something about these old Ampegs. Is it the warm, uncompressed tones? The lovely dimensional reverb? The pulsing square-wave tremolo? It's all of these things, and so much more. This 1965 Gemini VI is 22 watts of pure vintage tube amp goodness.

This amp isn't all original but the changes it's had are minor and steps in the right direction. It's been given a proper 3-prong plug (b/c Safety First). The filter caps have been replaced; not unusual for amps of this age. Finally the two biggest changes: the original speaker has been replaced, but it has been replaced with an awesome CTS Alnico 12" speaker from 1967. The other large change, it has been rewired for 6L6 power tubes. Originally this amp would have 7491's which were really hard to find in the early 00's. So some smart thinkin' fella switched it over to 6L6's and they totally work for this amp.

Both the tremolo and reverb can be engaged or bypassed via the original footswitch which is included.

The Gemini is versatile and uncompromising, so you can have your cake and eat it too.  The reliable and distinctive nature of this amp are enough to satisfy the desires of a wide array of players, so why not give it a whirl?
