This is a kickass clone of a Federal AM-864! This jawdropping unit uses military spec input and output transformers. The release time on this clone is sped up to 1 second (compared to the 2 second in the stock version). It also has a DC heater supply.
This thing has loads of gain. If you roll back the ratio and threshold knobs and crank the attenuation the unit can be used as a preamp as well. Bonus! Aaaaand when using as a pre you can even dial in a bit of compression!
This great studio tool has light signs of love and use. There is a crack in the meter glass. Other than that it looks great and sounds amazing.
