What in the elder millennial do we have here??  An '83 J bass in great condition!!

This was the final year the Standard Jazz Bass was made in the good 'ol USA for over a decade and has all the appointments you would expect from a masterful build of that era. Sporting a comfortable "C" profile with a thickness of 0.804" at the 1st fret and .911" at the 12th, the maple neck on this bass is complemented with a 7.5" radius maple fretboard, a nut with of 1.5" and weighs in at 9.16 pounds. Add in the alder body to match those neck specs and you're looking at a toneful bass that has stood the test of time.

Electronics include the original Fender single coil pickups, with neck & bridge volume controls and master tone control.

At 40 years old this J bass has really aged well, and with the exception of a small chip in the finish (see pictured) we think this damn thing is in great shape!

Like all instruments here at Eastside, our expert luthiers have given it a fresh setup to ensure that it plays to the best of its abilities. Additionally they've given it a little extra TLC too, including grounding the pots, replacing some tuner screws and adding new lead wires for the middle pickup.

We'll ship it to you super fast and super safe in its sturdy hardshell case! Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
