When you see those three beautiful letters, MIJ, you know you've got an utterly badass instrument on your hands. This is the Fugi-Gen factory's stellar '75 reissue J-bass that rolled off the line in '86. It's constructed from the classic combo of ash body, bound maple neck (C profile, nut width 1.5") and rosewood fingerboard with block inlays (7.25" radius).  Neck width measures at 1st: .820, 12th: .980. This is an absolutely killer reproduction of a '75 J-Bass and it rips!

And just when you thought you couldn't improve on this bass, it has received a couple of sweet upgrades. It has been equipped with a Badass Bass II bridge that gives you next-level intonation and stability. The tone and flexibility of this bass has been taken up a notch with a Bartolini NTBT preamp. Onboard controls are volume, pickup blend, and Bass/Treble via the stacked knob. It weighs in at 10.46 lbs.

It is lightly used and only barely shows its age. There is some checking in on the front and back (that looks very cool), some swirling and mild buckle rash on the back, and surface scratches on the control plate and pickguard. All of this is cosmetic and just adds to the mojo vibe of the bass.

The badass luthiers here at EMS have given this bass a full fret level and setup so that it plays smoother than it ever has. It is ready to ship out the next day with its included gig bag.
