Think of your favorite alternative and/or industrial record. Got it? Cool. Yeah Justin Meldal-Johnsen probably played on it. Or on the tour. Or produced it. Beck, St. Vincent, NIN, Garbage, Pete Yorn, Paramore, Deafheaven, The Mars Volta...yeah you get it.
This road worn hulk of a bass that bears his name (based on Justin's treasured ’66 Mustang Bass) is just as killer as his resumé. It's crafted by our Fender friends south of the border from alder with a great feeling "C" maple neck, sporting a playable 9.5" rosewood fingerboard. The heavy "road worn" relic job is everything on this shorty boy.
All that tone is pumped through a Custom Seymour Duncan Split Single-Coil and hot damn it sounds good! The stock pearloid pickguard has been swapped out for this all serious, ain't-playin-no-games black guard which gives this bass a seriously sweet blacked out aesthetic. Hipshot Lollipop style tuners round out the great hardware features of this bass.
It weighs in at 8.16 lbs!
The pro luthiers here at EMS have given this JMJ 'stang a full setup to ensure that it lands in your hands with zero issues, ready for stage or studio!
It is ready to ship out the next day with the included Fender gig bag.
