These Roland Ready Strats are sweet. The GC-1 allows the complete functions of the Roland GK-3, perfectly and beautifully embedded in the authentic Fender Stratocaster, letting you drive any 13-pin compatible gear. As well as its futuristic functionality, it also provides classic Fender Stratocaster sound and feel.
This particular Strat left the factory in 2001 as just a standard American Strat, but at some point in its life the previous owner had it modded to be compatible with the GC-1. So now, in addition to playing it as a normal Stratocaster through your favorite amp, you can also connect it to the GR-55 Guitar Synthesizer, GR-D V-Guitar Distortion, GR-S V-Guitar Space, VG-99 V-Guitar System, etc... to dramatically enhance your creativity.
Okay, so it can do the fun synthy bleeps and bloops, but how does it PLAY? I'm so glad you asked. The maple C-profile neck on this thing is a ripper, as I'm sure you know if you're at all familiar with American Strats. With a width of 0.820" at the first fret and 0.875" at the 12th, 9.25" radius, and 1 11/16 nut width, it's got that classic American Strat feel you know and love.
Our techs here at EMS have given this guy a fresh setup, and it's ready for you to plug in and see what all weird sounds you can get out of it. We'll ship it to you safely and swiftly.
