This technique, referred to as \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003etic-tac\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e bass, produced bass lines with a distinctive click and presence that was so prevalent in sound recordings of that era. These instruments have since found their way into all styles of modern music. Normally played with a thin pick and tuned E~to~E one octave below standard guitar. A great addition to any bass or guitar player's arsenal.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThis double pickup Neptune sports a comfy and very playable “C” neck that’s crafted from masonite and maple (.742”-.838”). It’s overlaid with a 16” radius rosewood fingerboard (1 11\/16” nut width).\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThe classic snappy, jangly goodness comes courtesy of the three lipstick tube pickups (N: 3.44k, B: 3.44k…yep they all measured the same resistance!). They’re controlled via a single Volume, single Tone and a 5-way pickup selector.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThis guitar has all the tone and mojo of those early Dano’s but with built with boutique level quality. The serial number is engraved on the output jack plate (dating this one to the mid to late 90's).
