Now here's something you don't see every day!

Legend Musical Instruments existed from around 1978 to 1985. During that time, they only produced about 4000 total amps out of their shop in Syracuse, NY, making these amps pretty rare nowadays. Two of the primary amps Legend offered were the Super Lead 50 like this one, and its little brother the Rock N Roll 50, which gained notoriety as the primary amp used on the classic ZZ Top record, Eliminator.

Legend specialized in Solid State / Tube hybrid amps, but with a unique twist. Unlike the other hybrid amps of that era that utilized a solid state preamp section and tube power section, Legend designed their amps in reverse, with a tube preamp section and solid state power section.

This particular Super Lead combo, in a gorgeous finger-joined oak enclosure,  absolutely nails blues and classic rock overdrive tones. It doesn't particularly like getting clean, so if you're looking for a pedal platform, this might not be the amp for you. But if you're looking for a unique ripper of an amp to fatten up and blast those blues licks through, you've come to the right place.

Our amp tech here at EMS has opened it up and made sure it has a clean bill of health, so you can get straight to shredding after you snag this rare fella. We'll ship it to you safely and securely. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
