Kinda funky, kinda space age, kinda fuggin' cool! The Acinonyx from Nordstrand is a short scale lowend beast! Fun and impulsive, but knows how to get shit done!
Crafted from alder, this placid blue beauty sports a C profile maple neck (.826"-.940"). The neck is outfitted with a nice playing 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard. The nut measures in at 1.488". How's that for nerdy specs?? We love this stuff!
That tone is cranked through a pair of Nordstrand's proprietary chrome covered single coil pickups (N: 6.22K, B: 6.16k). They have clarity and bite that is just right for the short scale format.
On the controls side of things, there is a single volume control, but on the top side of the pickguard is a system of push button switches which make things very fun and very interesting. One set of 4 push buttons are pickup selector switches (including “all in” series mode). The second set of 4 buttons are tone selections including flat, traditional tone roll off, heavy tone roll of, and mid notch. There are tones in here for every player, every rig, and every situation.
And this bass is super light, to boot: 6.44 lbs.

This bass is lightly used and super clean. There are incredibly light (incredibly difficult to see) surface level scratches on the back. Some minor, minor pickwear on the pickguard, but other than that, it's a very clean instrument!
The pro luthiers here at EMS have given it a full setup to ensure that arrives to you ready for stage or studio. It does not include a case or bag, but it will be packed securely and shipped safely, fully insured.
