This vintage 1930's Tone Master Lap Steel from Oahu Publishing Co. makes all your Hawaiian dreams come true! These run of instruments were initially introduced as educational guitars and played by Hawaiian-style lap steel great Elbern Alkire. Maybe that 'lil factoid will come in handy at your next early-20th century music trivia night, I don't know.
A sweet sounding lap steel with tons of character! Finished in a dark sunburst with a gorgeous ornate hand-painted top, this hard-to-find Cleveland, OH made steel from the the '30's is fully stock and ready to rock. With a mahogany body, square neck and original single coil pickup (2.72K), we think this vintage lap steel has aged perfectly over the last century(!!!). And amazingly the original tuners and hardware are all intact! Look at those sweet lil knobs!
The pro techs here at EMS have gone through this great lap steel to ensure that everything is operational and ready for stage or studio. It will ship out the next day with the original hardshell case and tone bar. If you have questions about this instrument, or any of our gear, give us a shout here at the shop.
