This head looks like the front grill of a lifted truck getting ready to run you over, and it sounds like it too. We love us some Peavey gear here at EMS, and this Triple XXX II head is no exception.
Peavey amps often get overlooked because of their cheaper price tag, but man this thing will hold its own against any high gain amp on the market, and for a fraction of the cost. There's a reason it won the Guitar World Platinum Award for Excellence in their November 2012 issue. Locked and loaded up with four 12AX7 preamp tubes and four EL34 power tubes, it can cut through a mix live or in the studio like a knife through butter.
The three channels on this monster each have their own unique characteristics, and with it as part of your rig you may find you can do away with the drive/distortion section of your pedalboard altogether. The Clean channel is as pristine as you could ever hope for from a high gain amp, with surprisingly high headroom to boot, so you can push those cleans hard without having to worry about any unwanted breakup. The Rhythm channel can execute anywhere from mild overdrive to classic rock distortion, and would likely be more than enough gain for the average player. But we know why you're here, and you're not stopping there on the Gain Train, you're riding that thing all the way to the station. Flip that channel selector switch up to the Lead channel, and make sure you put your earplugs in, because this is where the chugs (train pun not intended) really begin.
This head is very lightly used, and it is in fantastic condition. These amps aren't being produced anymore, so pick this one up while you can before they become the next hot vintage item for metalhead gear collectors. We'll ship it to you super fast and securely, along with the footswitch and IEC. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
