While most signature guitars cost thousands of dollars, the Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster provides personalized vibe at a fraction of the price. Whether you're a huge Dinosaur Jr. fan or just looking for an affordable guitar with real character, the Mascis Jazzmaster leaves plenty of money left over to build your rig.
This particular one has had the stock bridge swapped out for an authentic Fender Jazzmaster tailpiece and trem system. Everything else on this bad boy is stock, from the C profile Maple and Indian Laurel neck (measuring 0.847" at the 1st fret, 0.940" at the 12th, 9.5" radius, and 1.685" nut width), to the stock Jazzmaster pups (8.24k neck and 9.05k bridge).
Oh yeah, you know what else is NOT stock? The fret work and setup. Holy crap you're welcome. There are lots of reasons these guitars are not that expensive fresh off the line and that is one of them. Lucky for you the techs here at EMS just pulled this one off the bench and it's got level frets and spot-on setup. So you can trust that it'll play even better than it did the day it left the factory. We'll ship it to you safely and securely, and super fast to boot. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about this guitar!
