Stuart Spector established a name for himself through the decades as a builder of iconic bass guitars, but what many people don't know is that he also built guitars for a brief period of time. This here is one of those rare gems.
This bad boy is hand-numbered #3 of merely 39 of these custom Spector Blackhawks built at the shop in Woodstock, NY in the mid-90's, so these are not often seen in the wild. Designed by Chris "Lumpy" Hofschneider, best known for his tech work for Richie Sambora, this thing is a super cool double-cut LP-style shred stick.
Mahogany body, quilt maple top, maple thin C-profile neck measuring 0.756"-0.813", rosewood 12" radius fretboard, and 1.66" nut width. Those Tom Holmes humbuckers are ultra pristine and perfect for practically any style. And let's not forget that Floyd Rose baby!
This guitar shows some very light signs of use, a tiny bit of buckle rash and a few minor surface dings, but is overall in great condition and plays beautifully.
Our luthiers here at EMS have given it a fresh setup to ensure that it is perfectly intonated and won't fall out of tune no matter how far you dive that trem arm (included, but was not in the photos!). We'll ship this rare bird to you super fast and super safe in its tweed hardshell case! Feel free to give us a call with any additional questions you may have about it!
