This is a unique vintage-inspired guitar from those tone geniuses at Supro! The Martinique Deluxe is a reproduction of the top-of-the-line, piezo- and vibrato bar-equipped fiberglass Supro electric guitar that was manufactured in the early 1960s. It's an art deco beauty that's not just another pretty face. There is some serious tone happening here.
The Martinique has a resonant Acousti-glass top with semi-hollow mahogany back. The mahogany neck is fast & comfortable(.840"-.900") with a 12" rosewood fingerboard. Supro's unique, smooth vibrato rounds out the amazing build of this guitar.
All that resonant tone is pumped through he bridge-mounted piezo pickup, which can be used independently or blended with the magnetic Vistatone pickups using a 50s-wired master volume. The magnetic pickups features a neck pickup that sounds huge and wooly, while the bridge pickup has an unmistakable midrange growl making it a downright dirty boy! Blending these sounds with the piezo bridge output creates tones unlike any other instrument on the market.
This flexible tone machine is lightly loved and used. It has some minor playwear and surface swirl but none of this detracts from how stunning this guitar looks and plays. And we've done ya one better! The kickass luthiers here at EMS have given this girl a full setup to insure that it arrives to you ready for stage or studio and with no issues. It doesn't include a case but will be packed securely and shipped the next day.
