I betcha you’ve never seen anything quite like this La Llama, handmade in Austin, TX! With the unique top, comfortable shape, and decorative appointments it is truly striking. The amazing bound ebony fretboard sports a 12” radius with a 1 3/4” nut (.825-.880 neck thickness). But this guitar is not just a pretty face. Underneath the glam and glitz there is a true versatile tone machine. It’s loaded up with Lollar Imperial pickups, some of the best p/u’s on the market. Unlike most double humbucker guitars, the Artisan has a 5 way toggle switch:
Position 5 (up): neck pickup
4: Neck and Bridge out of phase
3: Neck and bridge pickups normal
2: Bridge pickup plus tapped neck pickup
1: Bridge pickup
With these five positions and the use of the Master Mojo control, and the volume controls, it is mind-blowing the number of different sounds that are possible. And it weighs in at a modest 7.54 lbs. Perfection.
This guitar has been cared for and shows little signs of play wear. Very clean! There is a small break in the binding on the headstock (see pic)
The badass luthiers here at EMS have given this gypsy a full setup and it is ready for stage or studio the moment its in your hands. It’ll be packed up securely and shipped out swiftly the next day in its SKB soft shell case.
