This bass is dripping with mojo! Some have claimed the Starfire to be Guild's best electric invention but who's really to say? ...well... you actually!
The Starfire originally debuted in the 60's and quickly garnered a following that included Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane) and Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead) but this bass isn't just a sweet piece of vintage gear, it sounds as good as it looks with a warmer, smooth tone for added sonic flexibility.
This double cutaway bass guitar features mahogany top and back, and mahogany sides, D shape neck profile with Brazilian rosewood fretboard, measuring 0.890" at the 1st fret and 0.963 at the 12th with a 9.5" radius and nut width of 1.5". The electronics are all stock too! One volume, one tone and a stock Guild BS-1 pickup (14.12k). Altogether weighing in at a breezy 7.08lbs!
A clear, matte finish highlights this bass guitar’s natural beauty. Sure, this Starfire has seen some paytime in its almost 60 years here on planet Earth (see pictured) but you can rest easy knowing we've taken great care to ensure it plays as good as it looks!
