Designed by legendary amp builder Dan Pearce, the G2r is a 2-channel solid state Swiss Army Knife!
To fully wrap your noggin around why this amp exists, we gotta go back a few decades. Dan Pearce's impressive background in guitar amplification began when he started working for Moog Music in 1976, in Bob Moog's backyard barn. He and the team at Moog designed what became the Gibson Lab Series amplifiers. But Pearce's innovative engineering didn't stop there... His ideas had outgrown what he could produce under the Lab Series moniker, so he left to fly solo under Pearce Engineering. With the continued ethos of crafting high-quality, bulletproof solid state amps with premium components, Pearce eventually crafted what you see here today!
The G2r has a stereo power amp section of 100 Watts per Channel @ 4 Ohms and 65 Watts/Channel @ 8 Ohms. The preamp section consists of two separate channels with input gain switches for a variety of guitars and pickups, and the Mix/Separate button allows for switching or blending the channels. Each channel has the option to get dirty with a boost mode on channel 1 and a crunch mode on channel 2. Two independent effects loops exclusive to each channel are available, plus a master effects loop with mono or stereo in. This amp also has an incredible selection of effects including 9 reverbs, 3 delays, 2 stereo generators, thicken , multitap and onboard limiter.
This solid-state beast is housed nicely inside a beautiful wooden cabinet with an Electro-Voice EVM12L Black Label speaker. It rips!
