Originally introduced in '68, the D-55 has found its way into the hands of everyone from Waylon Jennings to Billy Joe Armstrong, and all manner of players in between. The modern version still retains those old school specs: AAA Sitka spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and nitrocellulose finish. Perfection!
The mahogany neck on this beauty sports a "C" profile with a 12" radius to the ebony fingerboard. The nut measures in at 1 23/32".
It arrived to us with the pickguard having been removed (which frankly looks pretty cool!). Our badass techs went through this guitar, gave it a neck reset along with a fret level and setup. This thing plays better than it ever has, I'd ventured to guess. It'll arrive to you ready for stage or studio!
Overall it shows signs of love and use; a guitar that has been loved and played just as the gods intended. It includes the original hardshell case. Grab it for your rig and we will ship it out swiftly and safely the next day.
