The incredibly playable 214CE is a Deluxe Grand Auditorium body style guitar from Taylor, which has proven to be an amazingly versatile body style. Crafted a solid Spruce top with layered Maple back and sides, it has a clear and balanced tone that has huge projection and midrange that just cuts. The comfy "C" mahogany neck is topped off with a 15" radius rosewood board (1.678" nut) and makes it easy for navigating the fretboard. The thickness of the neck feels comfortable without being too chunky or too slim (.861"-1.099"). And the Venetian cutaway lets you get all the way up to the high frets for full shred (unplugged!).
It is loaded up with Taylor's ES-T pickup, a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual elements for each string. It features an onboard preamp and controls for Volume, Bass, and Treble.
This guitar is used and shows signs of love overall. The badass techs here at EMS have put some time into this guitar to make it the best version of itself! We've repaired two loose finger braces along with two small cracks in the top (see pics). In addition they've give it a full fret dress and setup to insure that it arrives to you with level frets, great action, and zero issues. The strings and the 9V battery are fresh so this beauty is ready to plug in and go whenever you are.
This great guitar plays better than the day it rolled off the line. Hard to come by these in black, especially one that plays like this and is as stage/studio ready as this one. It does not include a case but it will be packed securely and shipped safely the next day.
