A legendary circuit, no doubt. If you've ever played one of Mike's pedals, you know that the hype is real. This is a dirt box for the serious fuzz connoisseur--no goofing around here.
This iteration features the Sun Dial. Now, who doesn't love a pedal with a bias knob on the outside? Especially one that has the same function and circuit available via internal trimpot in the classic 2-knob model. This little powerhouse was manufactured in March of '23 and features a CV7003 transistor circuit. These CV7003 transistors have the NQ code, meaning they were made by Texas Instruments in Bedford, England to a military spec. These TI/UK transistors have nice medium-high gain and are a perfect match for the Fuzz Face circuit. They are quite similar to the sound of the High Gain NKTS--a little brighter than the 2SB standard germaniums, and less wooly sounding. Make no mistake--this thing sounds incredible. No power jack, but it sounds cooler with a battery anyways. Photos include some gut shots of the inside of the backplate and the circuit for those who are curious.
This famed tone machine shows some signs of its age, but it functions like a dream and ships safely and swiftly! Feel free to call us with any questions you have about this pedal.
