Banker Guitars stamped their mark on the boutique guitar market when they became the very first guitar brand to partner with Gibson through their Authorized Partner Program, giving them official license to use historical trademarked body and headstock shapes.
But they don't just stick to the same SG and LP bodies of old, Banker also has some more modern builds, like this sweet offset Redtail! The body of this thing is made of a super resonant flame Honduran mahogany complemented with a stunning "older-than-Jesus" Humboldt County sinker redwood top. Whew, that's a mouthful, and we haven't even gotten to the neck...
Crafted from more Honduran mahogany, the neck has a familiar '59 style C-profile, measures 0.86" at the 1st fret and 0.92" at the 12th, and is complemented by an ebony fretboard with 12" radius and a 1.75" nut width.
It comes loaded up with a sick pair of ThroBak SLE-101 Plus PAF Humbuckers rated at 7.7k in the neck and 8.24k in the bridge, controlled by a 3-way pickup selector toggle, dual volume pots, and a master tone pot. And let's not forget that Mastery bridge and trem system!
This guitar is very lightly used, and it is begging to be played. It shows a few subtle signs of playwear, some minor surface swirling and a few tiny dings here and there, but overall it is in excellent condition. Our expert luthiers here at EMS have given it a full fret level and a fresh setup to ensure that it arrives in your hands with low, easy action, spot-on intonation, and zero fret buzz or dead notes.
We'll ship this incredible boutique build to you super fast, packed safely in its original hardshell case. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
