Deep in the mountains of North Carolina, there are legendary pedals being born under the name Kogoy Musical Devices. Brilliant design coupled with tones reminiscent of the early fuzz boxes of the 70s, made with handpicked, quality components.

This is the HSL9000. Equipped with 5 highly interactive knobs and 2 toggle switches, the HSL is equally comfortable with saturated classic fuzz riffage, finger-tapped solo shredding, industrial grind, synthesizer-like lead tones, glitchy video game tones, and some other unexpected sounds. It works well with guitar and bass. Each unit is housed in a Dymo-labeled, oversized enclosure which has been sanded down by hand and weathered (there will be dings, scratches, and maybe even some paint) to give it the look of a well-worn, beloved shop tool.

Controls include Volume, Tone (interacts closely with Volume), Gain, Pre (controls a preamp which overdrives the main distortion stage), Bias (fully clockwise = wide open, turning left results in gating and other interesting effects). But the tweaking doesn't stop there--also included are two switches for Crisp/Flub (a slightly brighter filter to emphasize guitar, and a slightly darker filter to emphasize bass, respectively) and A/B ("A" being a more traditional, highly saturated fuzz, and "B" which is similarly saturated but introduces more synthesizer-like attack and decay, with some additional sustain and emphasis--you'll notice that "B" allows you to dial the Bias knob even further to the left). The possibilities are ENDLESS.

Enclosure art by Jeffrey Alan Love, and circuit board layout by Zack Holloway. Powered by 9v center negative power supply only.

*At the wishes of Kogoy himself, each HSL9000 is to be personalized with a name/nickname on a label (located below the serial #), so please let us know in the checkout notes how you would like your label to appear.
