Lots of great things were introduced in 1994. The world got Far Beyond Driven, Illmatic, Ace Ventura, Forrest Gump... and among them was ole Paul's homage to the legend of guitar design, Ted McCarty.

This McCarty comes to us from the first year of production, and boy is it sweet. The body is constructed of hand-selected toneful mahogany and a gorgeous flame maple top in tortoise shell finish, and complemented by a neck of the same mahogany measuring 0.83" at the 1st fret and 0.95" at the 12th, a rosewood fretboard, and a nut width of 1.68".

The pickups in it are the original humbuckers, and they measure at an output of 7.56k in the neck and 7.57k in the bridge.

This sweet axe has been loved in its 30 year career, and it shows some minor signs of playwear, but it is still in excellent condition! Our expert luthiers here at EMS have given it a fresh fret level and setup to breathe new life into it and make sure it plays better than ever with easy action, precise intonation, level frets, and zero buzz or splatty notes.
