Now here's something you don't see every day!

Univox was cranking out all kinds of different amps back in the 60's, tons of different circuit styles and enclosures, some of which they never even advertised! There's very little information out there on the U-72, but it appears to be a scaled down version of the U-202R without a spring reverb tank.

These amps have a very gritty character, similar to the Valco and Supro amps of the same era. Minimal headroom to be found here, especially if you jump those channels into each other! Honestly, with this amp cranked, you can forget about needing a fuzz pedal! The tube lineup consists of two 12AX7's, two 6AQ5's, and one 6X4.

On top of the sweet saturation you can get out of this thing, plug a footswitch into it and turn that smooth pulsing tremolo on. And that old Jensen 10" speaker really puts the finishing touches on the vintage vibe you get out of this sweet 60's amplifier.

This vintage oddball amp shows plenty signs of playwear and use, but it functions as it should! We'll pack it up snug as a bug in a rug and ship it to you safely and swiftly! Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
