With both P-bass and Jazz bass pickups, the Mustang Bass PJ is capable of a huge range of classic Fender tones -- fat and beefy on the P-Bass pickup and biting and growling on the J-Bass pickup. The short-scale neck makes for a rich sound and is a breeze to play! And it's finished in stunning Torino Red.
Let's talk specs! This beauty has an alder body with maple neck and nice dark rosewood fingerboard, and weighs in at just 8.04lbs. The fretboard has a 9.5" radius and the nut measures 1.52" wide. Neck thickness measures .83" at the first fret and .96" at the twelfth. This profile will feel immediately familiar and comfortable to a wide variety of bass or guitar players alike.
Electronics here include a master volume, master tone, and 3 way pickup selector switch. The split single coil P Bass pickup has an output of 10.65k, and the J style bridge pickup has an output of 6.9k. These controls make it super easy to dial in your favorite P Bass tones, J Bass tones, or a sweet blend of the two.
This sweet lil' number has been given a full fret level and setup by the top shelf luthiers here at EMS. It's got some very minor signs of playwear, and has been made ready for stage or studio.
