M.V. Pedulla is a name that carries prestige in the boutique bass community. Carrying the torch of fine purveyors of the low end since 1975, they officially closed up shop and retired in 2019, making their remaining instruments out in the wild all the more sought after.
This sweet ass Thunderbolt from the mid-90's carries that same legacy of quality craftsmanship, and plays unlike any other bass you're likely to get your hands on. Now let's talk about what makes it special!
Both constructed of maple, the body features a gorgeous amber top, and the D-profile bolt-on neck has a thickness measuring 0.795" at the 1st fret (or lack thereof) and 0.875" at the 12th. The neck is complemented by a 12" radius rosewood fretboard, or... wait... What do you call a fretboard with no frets? Just a board? Well, regardless, it's got a nut width of 1.885".
It comes loaded up with an incredible set of custom-wound Bartolini pickups with output ratings of 21.8k in both the bridge and neck positions. Controlling those pickups is a set of controls featuring a master volume, a balance control blending between the two pickups, a master tone control, and a toggle switch allowing the player to switch between passive and active wiring.
This bass has been used in its 31 year career, but it's hardly got a scratch on it! This thing is in excellent shape, and thanks to the setup from our top-notch luthiers, it plays even better than it looks, believe it or not!
