The Nobels ODR-1X Natural Overdrive marks a natural evolution of the cult-classic ODR-1, a pedal that has proved popular among Nashville session players.
The ODR-1X is a natural-sounding dirtbox that carves its niche among "green pedal" variations. This aggressive mid-forward pedal boasts a 5-knob control set, an upgrade over previous iterations. The familiar Level, Drive, and Spectrum knobs adorn the front; however, smaller Bass Cut and Gain Boost knobs add to your range of control, with the Bass Cut providing a low-end sweep and the Gain Boost offering up to 27dB of extra gain. Nobels has also added a selectable bypass, allowing you to choose between the traditional buffered bypass or true bypass operation. All these additions come without the sacrifice of the remote input jack, the 18-volt power compatibility, or the glow-in-the-dark knobs of the previous model.
