I know we're in the land of honky tonkin', but here's a lil somethin for you jazzy boys out there!
Built as a ‘reissue’ from 1995 to 2011, the Epiphone Emperor Regent is a full 17 inch wide archtop guitar with a single floating pickup and pickguard-mounted controls. From their 1939 introduction, the Epiphone Emperor Regent and upgraded Emperor were at the top of the Epiphone archtop line, with Gibson as their main competition. When Gibson finally purchased Epiphone in 1957, several versions were dropped and by 1970 all of the Epi archtops were only available as Japanese made versions. Since then, production has moved to other locations including Korea and China.
This bad boy has a body constructed of laminate maple for the back and sides, and a spruce top. It's complemented by a mahogany C-profile neck (0.824"-0.845") with a rosewood 12" radius fretboard. The stock pickup in the neck has a scorching output rating of 14.72.
This sweet archtop is lightly used, and it plays beautifully! Like all guitars at EMS, it has received a full fret level and setup to ensure that it lands in your hands with low, easy action, precise intonation, and zero fret buzz or dead notes.
it doesn't include a case, but we'll ship it to you packed safe and sound! Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
