Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and boy we do be holding this beauty! This late 90's Epi is the triple humbucking LP Custom of your dreams, and you could be holding it too!

The serial number on this guitar dates it to 1997, which means it was manufactured in Korea unlike the majority of Epi LPs manufactured in Japan. It has been often stated that the Korean Epiphones are made out of much higher quality wood than their Japanese counterparts, and the mahogany body and mahogany neck on it are a testament to that. Weighing in at 8.9lbs, this bad boy is a solid hunk of tone.

The C-profile neck has a thickness of 0.84" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th, with a 15" radius rosewood fretboard, and 1.69" nut width. It sits comfortably in your hands, but like the wild stallion it is, it lets you know that it is truly in charge of this ride, it's just allowing you to hold the reins.

You may be thinking to yourself that this does not look quite like the other Black Beauties you've seen, and you'd be right. This guitar has received a few parts upgrades in a past life. The most obvious of which is that sweet Epiphone branded Bigsby. Next you may notice that it has been loaded up with three Golden Age Alnico 5 humbuckers, rated at 7.75k in the neck, 4.23k in the middle, and 8.89k in the bridge. And finally, the icing on the cake is those locking Grover tuners up top, so you can wiggle that new trem arm all you like and never have to worry about coming back up out of tune.

This guitar shows some signs of use, just some minor surface swirling and a few small cosmetic dings here and there, but it is still in great playing condition. The master luthiers here at EMS have given this sick guitar a fresh fret level and setup, to ensure that it will play immaculately with perfect intonation and absolutely no splatty or dead frets. We'll ship it to you super fast and super safe in its hardshell case. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
