Fender makes great instruments of all shapes and sizes, but their Custom Shop cranks out tone machines that have been touched by the tone gods!

A finish with a name like "Shoreline Gold" really paints a picture for the imagination... like an old chest full of gold dubloons washed ashore... weathered by the salt water, dulled by the passage of time, but still shimmers when the sunlight hits it just right. And this Custom Shop Tele really fits that story. Battle-worn, but when you look closely, you see that it's a real treasure.

This thing may have left the Custom Shop in 2006, but playing this thing will have you swearing it landed in your hands straight outta '59. The ash body weighs in at a manageable 7.29lbs, and is complemented with a maple 50's style C-profile neck measuring 0.96" at the 1st fret and 0.98" with the 12th. It also features a rosewood 9.5" radius fretboard and a nut width of 1.63". This thing just feels great in the hands.

It comes loaded up with a Twisted T neck pickup rated for an output of 5.68k, and the stock bridge pup has been swapped out for a super sweet DiMarzio bridge pickup with an output rating of 7.61k. Speaking of stock things being swapped out, at some point in this guitar's life, the neck was modified. When it first left the Custom Shop, this guitar had a pretty hefty baseball bat neck on it. The previous owner had that neck professionally sanded and reshaped, and if you ask us, it's better for it. Rest assured, this is still the original Custom Shop neck, and has the stamps on the heel to prove it (pics can be provided upon request). But it's got a little extra customization that we think makes it really special.

This guitar has been played and loved, and it is ready for more. Our expert luthiers here at EMS have given it a full fret level and fresh setup to ensure that it lands in your hands with precise intonation, fast easy action, level frets, and zero buzz or dead notes. We'll ship it to you safe and sound in its hardshell case with all of the original custom shop paperwork and case candy.

Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
