Ooh la la! Classy and sassy, this Les Paul Junior is certainly a head-turner. The ebony and tortoise combo with matching black headstock is such a slick look, not to mention how squeaky clean this guitar is. However, the look of this one is hardly the most interesting thing about it--just wait 'til you see how good it feels in your hands.
The mahogany neck is a 50s vintage "C" profile, so it's a little on the chunky side. We ain't mad about it. Measuring 0.92" and 1.02" at the 1st and 12th fret (respectively), it's certainly a comfortable fit, made for traversing the entire rosewood fretboard with ease. With a radius of 12" and a nut width of 1.685", this Junior feels like an old familiar friend.
It's wired up with all stock electronics, so no funny business--just a P90 (7.92k) and two knobs for tone and volume. You'd be hard-pressed to get a bad sound out of this one. It really can do it all, whether you play in a classic rock trio or a 5-piece dream-pop band. The stock bridge has been replaced with a TonePros AVT-II wraparound bridge and locking posts. Versatile, super comfortable to play, and fairly lightweight--weighing just 7.7 lbs. Someone buy this guitar before I do, sheeesh.
Like all guitars at Eastside, this Junior has received a fresh setup and full fret level with new strings from one of our badass luthiers and is ready for stage or studio. It ships safely and swiftly in its original hardshell case. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about it or any of our other gear here at the shop!
