They call this the Standard, because that's what it is. The standard. The blueprint. It's classic. It's timeless. It's rock and roll.
This thing is everything a Les Paul should be, and nothing it shouldn't. And one of those things that it should be, is frickin dense. The solid mahogany body on this baby weighs in at a whopping 10.8lbs. Rockin ain't always comfy, but it is always rockin.
The matching mahogany 60's C-profile neck has a thickness of 0.80" at the 1st fret and 0.95" at the 12th, with a rosewood 9.5" radius fretboard and a nut width of 1.68".
It comes loaded up with the stock Gibson humbuckers with an output rating of 7.97k in the bridge and 7.49k in the neck, all controlled by that classic LP wiring with 2 volumes and 2 tones and a 3-way pickup selector switch.
This guitar has been used - as it should be - but not abused. It has some minor scuffs and some buckle rash on the back, but overall it is in excellent playing shape. Like all guitars here at EMS, it has received a fresh setup and full fret level to ensure that it arrives in your hands playing better than the day it left the factory, with low easy action, precise intonation, and zero fret buzz or dead notes.
We'll ship this bad boy to you super fast and super safe in its included vintage Gibson hardshell case (from 1974!). Feel free to give us a call here at the shop with any questions you may have about this Gibby!
