What in the Rainbow Road!?
We love this one! "Why" you ask? Well it's a dang 'ole SG Standard AND it's freakin' zooted out!
This beautiful axe is a whole vibe. To create this head turning finish the folks at Gibson used a process that involved dying individual strips of birch and then bonding them. I don't know, it's science. What I do know is this is an iconic guitar asserted by shredders from Angus Young to Ian MacKaye and for good reason.
With a similar body design as the SG Diablo this dude weighs in a little over 8lbs and brings heavy tone to match. Crafted from birch body and a beefy "C" neck (.82"-.99"), it feels comfy and fast under the fingers. It's outfitted with a 10" radius ebony board. Add a sweet pair of Gibson humbuckers (8.3k N, 14.71k B) and what more do you need?
Our incredibly talented luthiers here at EMS have polished the frets up and ensured it will ship with a fresh setup in its Epiphone hardshell case ready for stage or studio. Give us a call at the shop if you have any questions!
