Calling all riffers, moshers, metalheads, and Christcore nerds - past and present: for nearly two decades, Pennsylvania metalcore mainstays August Burns Red have dominated stages worldwide with blistering speed and heavy brutality. Sitting at the helm of their trademark sound is lead guitarist JB Brubaker, renowned for his incredible technicality and gut-punching riffage.
JB teamed up with the builders at Ibanez to put together his ideal shred stick, built to the exact specifications necessary to achieve the highest level of riffage possible. Starting off with the body, this guitar is constructed of super light nyatoh, which is complemented by a 3-piece bubinga/maple D-profile neck (0.75"-0.82"). That comes topped off with a 16" radius ebony fretboard with a nut width of 1.69".
Under the hood, this guitar comes loaded stock with a pair of EMG 81/85 active humbuckers for some high output with surprising note clarity. Did we mention that this thing only weighs 6.92lbs?
This guitar is VERY lightly used, and it plays amazingly, thanks to the expert setup from our top-shelf luthiers! It's got nice low action, spot-on intonation, and zero fret buzz or splatty notes. We'll ship this guitar to you super fast and super safe in its original hardshell case.
