Since the early 70's, guitar builders have been experimenting with aluminum neck construction (thanks Travis Bean and Gary Kramer).
The North Carolina-based luthiers at Aluminati are making a name for themselves among this generation's newest crop of experimental builders. The Nebula is their flagship model, and it brings a modern feel that diehard aluminum-neck purists will love.
Right off the bat, the first thing you'll notice about this guitar is the weight. Where most aluminum neck players end up with back problems, the Nebula's chambered lucite body and hollowcore neck end up only weighing a manageable 8.6lbs (less than most vintage Les Pauls!) The neck has a thickness measuring 0.765" at the 1st fret and 0.900" at the 12th, a 12" radius, and 1 23/32" (brass) nut width.
It comes loaded up with a screaming pair of Lollar Imperial humbuckers, and is outfitted with Aluminati's stock electronics (volume, tone, 3-way).
This guitar is very lightly used, and it is ready for action! Our top-shelf luthiers here at EMS have given it a full fret level and fresh setup, so you can rest assured that it'll land safely in your hands with low, easy action, zero fret buzz or splatty notes, and spot-on intonation.
We'll ship it to you super fast in its included hardshell case! Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
