This stunner was part of a limited run Burns of London did in the 60's. No doubt this guitar brings all that vibe with it into the modern age! It is completely original and the sound and playability stand apart from your typical s-style boys. So freaking gnarly, there's some mad mojo coming from this baby.
It's in amazing shape for its age. There are signs of love and use, typical playwear, light pick scratches. And if you ask us, that faded finish (originally red) only adds to the aesthetic! And that's not even getting into the playability of this vintage tone box.
This particular build features a maple C profile neck (.785"-.985") with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard (tapered 7.25 -9.5" radius), 1.69" nut, and a maple body. All of that resonant tone is pumped through to your earholes via the stock pickups and check out that trem system! All the clarity and growl you want, none of the bullshit ya don't. A 'lil insider tip for ya: with the pickup switch set to split you'll get the full spread of pickups simultaneously for a beefier tone. Using just the Wild Dog pickup gives you that jangly sound everybody was chasing in that era.
These guitars are a rare find considering its brief run nearly 60 years ago! One thing that isn't rare though is the excellent work our techs do. This vintage guitar has been given a fresh setup, heavy spot level and cleaned up electronics. One important note: the truss rod is non functioning and adjustment nut is free spinning. With that being said, it has been setup to the best of its ability and plays great with comfy low action and no dead frets.
This vintage guitar ships with a fresh setup and level frets, ready for stage or studio in its original branded hardshell case! If you have any questions about this or any piece of gear give us a call here at the shop!
