Famously made with a neck-through construction of walnut and maple with ash body wings, this thick D-profile neck (0.90"-1.0" thickness at the 1st and 12th fret) has a 10" radius rosewood fretboard with a 1.77" nut. The neck on this thing feels super solid and sustains for daysssss. It weighs in at a fair 9.89lb, (still under 10 for all that tonewood!).
Electronics-wise, this bass is loaded with the stock single humbucker pickup (rated at 12.7k) with simple yet effective volume, tone, and series/parallel switch.
This bass has shows signs of love and use from its almost-50 year life, but it plays perfectly and ready for many more years of riffin.Â
