Aria was absolutely on one in the 70's and 80's. Expertly made in Japan the SB series in particular were some of the best basses of the day.
Make all of your bottom-heavy dreams come true with this monster of a bass. The luthiers at Aria The body is made of walnut, maple and ash with a thick C profile neck (0.84"-0.95" thickness at the 1st and 12th fret) and a 10" radius rosewood fretboard with a 1.76" nut, the neck on this thing is super comfortable and will sustain for days.
Electronics-wise, this bass is loaded with a single MB-1 double coil pickup rated at 19k with volume, tone, 6-position tone selector and active Noise Killer circuit.
This thing has obviously been used in its 43-plus years of life, but it's playing well and ready for more! Aside from a replaced tuner everything on this bass is all original. It's got some scuffs and dings here and there (see pictured). It also has been outiftted with some recessed straplock buttons as opposed to the stock strap buttons.
Our expert luthiers here at EMS have given it a fresh setup, a fret level and a couple fresh 9 volts to ensure that it will arrive to you with spot-on intonation and play immaculately, as if you really hopped into a time machine and bought it fresh from the factory in 1978.
