Crafted from alder with an amazing maple neck (.92"-.100"). It has a comfy, playable 10" radius. The nut measures in at 1 9/16".
The electronics is where this bass gets exciting. It is loaded up with a pair of powerful, punch active EMG J pickups (N: 9.52k, B: 9.54k). They are powered by an EMG VVT Preamp w/ an EXB Expander module. Let's take a moment to translate that bit of tech talk!
Let's start with the control panel: familiar but with a few additions. At the top you get active volume for the Neck, followed by active volume for the Bridge. Third down you have a standard Tone control that works like you're used to. At the bottom you have a pot for the EXB expander module. The EXB is unconventional EQ control that increases the low and high frequencies while reducing the Midrange; it provides the clear gain and percussive punch that slap players will especially appreciate. The single throw toggle switch switches between the standard Tone and the EXB Tone controls.
