Get this: this DST amp head brings together both the Marshall sound and the HiWatt sound...say WATT??? Yeah you heard me. I totally set you up!
These under-the-radar magic boxes of tones are becoming rarer by the minute. Here are the main ingredients: on the right side you have the Marshally channel, based on the legendary mid-’60s Marshall JTM circuit. It has just Volume and Tone controls with Hi and Low inputs.
Slide to the left and you get the HiWatty channel. It is based on the preamp in late-’60s Hiwatt amplifiers and has controls for Bass, Middle, Treble, and Gain. That's it. No fuss, no muss. DST kept things simple AF!
The MarWatt cranks out 18 Watts and features a complement of tubes with three 12AX7 preamp tubes, two EL84 output tubes, and a EZ81 rectifier.
