Resonant, full, toneful, and damn good quality! Eastman just does not get it wrong. Like, ever. Their fit-and-finish is untouchable and thanks to the stock Bare Knuckle pickups, it's got vintage mojo and articulation to boot.
Finished in Gold Burst, this T1884MX semi-hollowbody is crafted with a solid maple top with mahogany back and sides. The mahogany neck (.867"-.940") has a comfy traditional even "C" profile, decked out with a 12" radius ebony fingerboard! This thing dang near plays itself. Great for chords, great for leads. Damn, I love this guitar! The nut measures at 1.736". The guitar weighs in at just 6 lbs!!
Let's talk about them pickups!! Bare Knuckle Old Guard humbuckers for the win! The Old Guards are low output range pups that produce an open, dynamic tone while still being able to drive an amp when needed. These things sound classic and they sound gooooood (N: 7.3k, B: 8.17k). The controls are straightforward ES-style: Volume and Tone controls for each pickup with a 3-way toggle to select Bridge, Middle, and Both.
This one has had mods & repairs during its short life: the G tuner has been replaced and repair has been done at the heel to repair a heel separation. The repair is solid and cleanly done and should cause no more trouble!
