Classic Gibson lowend with a dark side! This Goth Thunderbird IV from Epiphone has the classic biting bass tone in a mean looking blacked out aesthetic. Hot damn! Let's get into it!
Looking deep into the black heart of this bass you find a toneful mahogany body and comfy neck with a easily playable 12" radius rosewood fingerboard. The neck on this thing feels amazing. It has a slim taper profile (.869"-.944") that allows you to get around easily no matter how complex or bone simple your basslines are. The nut measures in at 1.73"
Two ceramic Thunderbird pickups (N: 13.60, B: 13.68) give you a punchy, focused tone that cuts through and doesn't mud things up.
Overall, this used bass looks great and has only light signs of love and use. There is some playwear on the front including some arm wear above the pickups. On the backside is light buckle rash and a scratch that lets you know this bass ain't afraid to get scrappy on a Friday night! The truss rod cover is missing (who needs it!) and then front strap button has been moved to be at the heel of the neck.
The pro techs here at EMS have gone through to give this bass a full setup so that it arrives to you with zero issues, ready for stage or studio! It ships the next day with the included original hardshell case.
