A beautiful homage to a modern legend!
This gold metallic beast is inspired by an original mid-'50s Goldtop. The Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Limited Edition Les Paul is the Epiphone version of the Gibson Custom Shop model made for ol' Joe. These guitars were made in a limited batch of 1,000.
Crafted from mahogany with a maple top, this top notch instrument is outfitted with a rounded "D" 1959 profile neck (.907"-1.02") that feels incredible in your hands; and a 12" rosewood board that feels perfect under the fingers. It has a nut width that measures in at 1.68".
The electronics in this golden boy are fully stock. The pickups...oh my gosh the pickups!! Gibson USA Burstbucker 2 and 3 humbuckers (N: 8.59, B: 9.48k): and they sound heavenly. On the neck pickup, it gets a sustaining violin-like tone for blues-rock riffing and soloing. With the tone and volume rolled back, the pickups get just warm enough for jazz. The bridge pickup has a nice bite for the classic Paul tones.
The stock strap locks have been swapped out for standard strap buttons.
The guitar has been lightly used and lightly played. It is definitely a well cared for instrument. The top itself is almost completely free of any playwear with most of it being on the pickguard (where it belongs!). The black back of the guitar reveals some swirling and surface scratches that are visible in the right light (hopefully you can catch a glimpse of them in our pics!). Overall, a great used guitar that rips! And is a real looker to boot.
The amazing techs here at EMS have given this golden god a full setup. It is ready for stage or studio right outta the case. It ships with the original hard shell case and it will ship the next day.
