Epiphone's Limited Edition Tommy Thayer "White Lightning" Explorer! This is the third signature model designed with legend Tommy “Spaceman” Thayer of KISS. As if the Explorer wasn't badass enough, this white sparkle rock machine is a stunner. That mirror pickguard tho!
Epiphone started with the right pickups: Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers. These are absolutely classic pups for all the rock tone. The White Lighting is crafted from toneful mahogany and has 60s slim taper neck (.751"-.876") with a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard. The nut on this fella measures at 1.65" and it weighs in at only 7.8 lbs. Mini-Grover Rotomatic tuners (18:1) round out the amazing hardware on this guitar.
Overall this guitar is in amazing shape. It does have two body repairs that have been done in the past: on the backside of the neck below the headstock; and on the bottom most bout of the guitar (see pics).
The badass luthiers here at EMS have given this beauty a full fret level and setup. You won't have to do a thing to it when you get it except tune up, plug in, and crush riffs. It will ship in the included hardshell case and be on its way to you the next day.
