Damn! One of the most progressive, outside-the-box designs we've ever seen from Fender. They swung for the fences on this one. The American-made Acoustasonic Stratocaster is...well, it's a Strat that's an acoustic. Or an acoustic that's a Strat?
The Acoustasonic is built from toneful mahogany and sports a spruce top and an ebony fingerboard (12" radius). The comfy neck has a deep C profile (.822"-.918"). It feels perfect for shreddin' or strummin'. The nut measures in at 1.68".
This guitar is fun to strum away on acoustically, but it comes to life when plugged in. It's loaded up with a three pickup system: Fishman Under-Saddle Transducer; Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer; Fender Acoustasonic Noiseless magnetic pickup in the "bridge" position. These electronics give a warm, nice amplified acoustic tone. The onboard electronics give you a master volume, master tone, and a standard Strat-style 5-way toggle (which gives you access to five pickup combinations...sound familiar?).
This guitar is lightly used with mild signs of love and use. It's overall in very good condition. It plays incredibly well thanks partly to the pro techs here at EMS. They have given this guitar a full setup to ensure that it arrives to you ready for stage or studio.
